The Edinburgh Student Law Review (ESLR) was the first publication of its kind in Scotland. Managed and written by students, it aims to provide a forum for law students to engage with current legal issues and debates.

We are willing to consider submissions on any legal topic but, unfortunately, we can only accept submissions which we have the expertise to review. Submissions which are in some way related to Scots law or Scottish legal culture are especially welcomed.

We encourage students of all levels and backgrounds to submit articles, case notes and updates. The current issue of the ESLR is available below.

All issues of the ESLR are available in the Past Issues section of this website.

If you have any further queries please contact the Editors-in-Chief.

We appreciate the support given to the ESLR by our Honorary President, Lord Hope of Craighead, our Honorary Secretary, Professor Andrew Steven, and the School of Law.

Finally, we wish to acknowledge and thank our previous sponsors and our current funder:
