About

The Edinburgh Student Law Review was the first of its kind in Scotland. Managed and written entirely by students, it aims to provide a forum for law students of the University of Edinburgh to engage with current legal issues and debates. The Editorial Board is directly responsible for the governance of the publication.

Submissions are accepted on any legal topic. Submissions which are in some way related to Scots law or Scottish legal culture are especially welcomed. Unfortunately we can only accept submissions which we have the expertise to review. However, please do submit your piece in the first instance and we will then inform you whether we have the necessary expertise to review it.

We encourage students of all levels and backgrounds to submit articles, case notes and updates. Please see the Submissions section for more information.

All issues of the Edinburgh Student Law Review are available in the Past Issues section of this website.

If you have any further queries please contact the Editors-in-Chief.

We are very grateful to our sponsors and The University of Edinburgh Law School for making past publications of the Edinburgh Student Law Review possible. Information about sponsorship opportunities is available online.

We also appreciate the support given to the Review by our Honorary President, Lord Hope of Craighead, our Honorary Secretary, Dr Andrew Steven, and the School of Law.
